More About Me

I provide counselling and psychotherapy sessions to both children and adults and believe in offering a safe and warm space for my clients to share their concerns. I am a member of the BACP and offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to help clients determine if my services are a good fit for them. My approach is integrative which means I use my therapy tools and knowledge  to the unique needs and goals of each individual client, I also use attachment theory to help inform me and build a therapeutic relationship with my clients. Confidentiality and non-judgement are essential aspects of my practice and I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable and supported.

As a dedicated counselor, my passion and professional focus revolve around understanding and addressing trauma and its profound impact on individuals' lives. Trauma, in its various forms, can exert a lasting influence on a person's psychological, emotional, and even physical well-being. My fascination with trauma stems from recognising the wide-ranging implications it has on individuals from all walks of life. Whether resulting from childhood abuse, natural disasters, combat experiences, or any other distressing event, trauma can shape perceptions, behaviors, and coping mechanisms in profound ways. My aim as a counselor is to provide a safe and empathetic space for individuals to explore and make sense of their traumatic experiences. Empathy lies at the heart of my approach as a counselor. Recognising the courage it takes for individuals to confront their traumatic experiences, I aim to create a non-judgmental and validating environment where they can share their stories at their own pace. I work collaboratively with clients to develop tailored strategies that address their unique struggles and facilitate their journey towards recovery. My journey as a counselor is not only about helping individuals heal from their past but also about empowering them to embrace their future with strength and renewed purpose.

I help clients with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem, eating issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, professional/career issues, college/school issues, medical and health concerns, pain management, stress management, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, spirituality, gender identity support, grief, loss, or bereavement and other difficult issues. If you are struggling with any of these issues or or anything else, I am here to support you and help you work through them.
